Weddings are Bespoke.
WHY IS ENTERTAINMENT IMPORTANT?
Wedding budgets are notorious for scrimping on entertainment, and it’s not uncommon for people to spend more on chair covers or wedding favours than on the band or DJ.
However, according to Bride & Groom magazine, 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment. And if you think about it, this makes a lot of sense. A piece of chicken, or a chair cover, or the hand lotion you find in the toilets – no matter how impressive or expensive – is unlikely to stick in your mind for long. But an unforgettable night on the dance floor with the people who matter most to you in the world? Done well, this can stay with you for the rest of your life.
Here’s some more food for thought:
– 65% of all couples that chose a band to entertain at their wedding said that, if they had it to do over again, they would have chosen a DJ.
– The vast majority of couples also said they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment.
– During wedding planning, brides consistently say that their highest priority is their attire, followed by the reception site and caterer (entertainment is often among the least of their priorities); however, within one week after their reception, 78% say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority.
– 72% of all brides say they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment.
